How can I sign an Archive?
To sign a member's archive, first locate the archive. If the archive displays a Guestbook that indicates that the member is deceased. Live members maintain an ongoing journal (or Blog) at their own discretion so it may not or may not be available.
Guestbooks appear below the "archive details" and you may add your entry by clicking the "add your message." link. Clicking this link will bring you to the page where you can view all current entries. You may add your comment here.
Blogs also appear below the "archive details" and you may add your entry by clicking the "View blog>>" When you follow this link, you will come to a page where you can enter your comment on the blog entries by selecting the "comments (#)" link. Input your comments in the box provided and then click "SUBMIT." Your comment will appear or you may receive a message "Commenting on this post is disabled!" which indicates that the member disabled comments for that blog entry.
Please note that entries do appear online immediately. All entries are subject to review for appropriate content.

I have signed an Archive, but I don't see my entry online. Where is it?
Archive entries are subject to screening by our staff and/or the administrator of the archive for appropriate content. Typically, entries appear online immediately. In rare cases, however, there may be a violation of the terms of use that requires careful review.
Please allow 24 hours for review, and then check the Archive for your entry. If you don't see your entry, and it has been 24 hours since you submitted it, please contact us with your name, the full name of the deceased, and the date of your entry. We will be happy to investigate the status of your entry.
In the case of a Blog comment you may receive a message "Commenting on this post is disabled!" which indicates that the member disabled comments for that blog entry.

How can I keep an Archive online longer?
An archive will remain on the Internet for perpetuity within the Humanarchives.org website when the membership fee has been paid in full and assuming there has been no violation of the terms of use.
To sponsor an Archive, please click "Sponsor this Archive" at the right side of the Archive. This will take you to a page that outlines your options for extending the Archive past the current expiration date, and that allows you to place an order online.
If you do not see this link, the Archive has already been sponsored or paid for in full.

If you are interested in this option, please contact us with your name, your telephone number, and the name of the person for which the archive was originally created. Please note that archives will not be recoverable after 3 months from creation if they go unpaid to that point.

How can I get a printed copy of an Archive?
At this time, we do not provide printed copies of the Archive. However, there will be a link on each Archive to a printer-friendly version comming soon.

How can I request a correction to an archive?
Corrections must be handled through the archives control panel which is only available to the administrator of the archive after logging in successfully. Once logged in, an administrator must select the "edit" link beside the archive for which they intend to revise. The revisions will be immediately available after the administrator clicks "Submit." For more information on corrections, please contact the archive administrator directly.

What is "Hide Mode" or "Why is some information hidden" at an archive?
Hide mode is made available to protect your personal information from displaying on your archive for a set amount of time. By default, the information you choose to hide will remain hidden for (1) year from unwanted views or use by anyone.
An administrator has the option to upgrade an archive to hide their information beyond the default of one year automatically. This is accomplished by selecting the "Upgrade" link found at their "Control Panel." There is a fee per year and you may choose and pay for as many years as you want.
This upgrade would be useful for anyone wishing to, for example, include all their personal details on their archive now at say age 50, then buy an upgrade of 45 years to hide that info, and when 45 years passes everything hidden will then be displayed for future generations to view long after they have passed away.
